Red Clover

Every year farmers here in Oregon plant red clover in their fields. I'm not exactly certain why- I'm sure it has something to do with replacing a certain nutrient to the soil or preventing erosion while they're waiting to grow another crop, but whatever the reason is, I love them for it. It's my favorite thing EVER to drive though the country and see vast, swaying fields of crimson red. Unfortunately I went out a little bit too late this summer to get a picture of a full field, but there were plenty of wayward clovers on the side of the road for my enjoyment. If I'm ever appallingly rich, I'm going to plant my own field of red clover just for fun. : )

Missing Home

I found this picture of my dogwood tree back home in Oregon, and it made me miss home in the spring. I love all the flowers and green grass!
